Patxumi João Canaiba is a Mozambican rapper, writer, and poet, born in Maputo City on August 22, 1994, and moved to Quelimane in 1996.
He was orphaned at the age of 12, along with his 14-year-old older brother. Around that time, he got involved in the world of rap and called himself the "Owner of the Streets." Besides his passion for Hip-Hop, Epaitxos has always been a dedicated student. Currently, he holds two bachelor's degrees, having graduated from Eduardo Mondlane University.
Something funny and impressive is that he never strayed away from music while he was in the music industry, much less from rap battles, and there's a very important detail: he's the only Mozambican with more than 10 rap battles published on YouTube, including both national and international ones.
Recently, the rapper announced through his social media the arrival of his first literary work, titled "The Same Happens to You," marking another achievement in his career. This morning, the artist shared a message on his Facebook page, recounting various moments he has experienced in this world. Good and bad moments are shared.
“"Today, I want to thank my mother for the struggle she endured to care for us until God no longer allowed. I thought about her a lot because it was exactly in August 2006, my birthday month, that she lost her life. And remembering that I spent my birthday in mourning that year was hard. Seventeen years later, I can't let this date pass without remembering that warrior woman who did everything so that I could be who I am today. For that and more, I will never stop expressing my gratitude… Thank you so much, my God."”
This is part of the text from Epaitxos one, to whom we wish a happy birthday.
