The Mambas players are already receiving the prize money for qualifying the national team for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Mozambican Football Federation assures that the athletes are receiving the agreed-upon bonus. The prize money is 250,000 meticais.

A week after securing qualification for the African Football Championship, a feat not achieved in 14 years, the Mambas players are already receiving the bonus for qualifying for this important continental competition.
Before the decisive match against Benin, the Mozambican Football Federation recalled that the qualification bonus, agreed upon at the beginning of the campaign with the respective captains, was 250,000 meticais, plus 70,000 for the victory, for the players who were in the squad for the game against Benin.

Without specifying the payment methods, a source from the Mozambican Football Federation assured that the players are receiving the amounts as agreed, that is, as a percentage based on the number of games each player has played for the national team.
In other words, the Mambas players are aware of how they should receive their bonuses. If paid in full, the athletes will receive a total of 320,000 meticais, which includes the bonus for qualifying and for the victory against Benin, only for those who played all the matches.
It should be noted that only nine players were in all the games of the qualifying campaign, namely captain Dominguez, Clésio Baúque, Witiness, Ratifo, Edmilson, Amadou, Gildo, Telinho and Shaquile, who will receive the full prize for qualifying for CAN 2023, 320,000.00 (three hundred and twenty thousand meticais).

However, players Ivan, Victor, Mexer, Kambala, Martinho, Bruno Langa and Melque were involved in five of the six Mambas games, while Zaindine Júnior, Geny Catamo and Domingos Macandza participated in four games.
Ernan, Chico, and Dário were called up for three games, while Reinildo Mandava, Kito, Infren, Reginaldo, David Malembane, Nené, Gian Chande, Luís Miquissone, and Isac de Carvalho were called up for two games.
However, there are players who only participated in one game and receive the lowest prize, among them Fazito, Bhéu, Danito, José Abudo, Chamboco, Guima, Dayo, Muiomo and Bangal, who will receive a prize of 41,600.00 (forty-one thousand and six hundred meticais).
Of these players who only played in one game, special mention goes to Chamboco, Guima, Dayo, Muiomo and Bangal, who in addition to the qualifying bonus of almost 42,000 meticais, will also receive an additional 70,000 meticais for the victory against Benin.

In total, Chiquinho Conde called up 40 players for the recently concluded qualifying campaign. In that qualifying phase, the Mambas finished second in Group L with 10 points, behind Senegal, who led the competition with 14 points. Mozambique won three games (1-0 and 3-2 against Benin and 2-0 against Rwanda), drew one (1-1 against Rwanda), and lost two (5-1 and 1-0 against Senegal).
