The event took place in the city center, at Praça dos Trabalhadores, next to the entrance of the CFM (Mozambique Railways). Mabermuda, one of the artists who entertained the audience at the event, addressed the public last night, August 29th, to apologize for the "exaggeration" in his performance. Internet users reacted positively, assuring him that everything is fine.
In his latest song, Mabermuda invited a fan to come on stage and dance with the artist and his dancers. However, it seems the dance went too far, leading Mabermuda to record a video apologizing to his fans, the Mozambican public in general, as well as the festival organizers and partners.
“Emotions got the better of us, we couldn't control them, and we requested the presence of a young woman on stage. During the last song, we performed dances on stage that were not appropriate for the audience. Recognizing that what we did on stage was not pleasing or good, I felt the need to apologize to the general public, to the female community, to EPDC, and to CFM,” said Mabermuda, who added that he has been working with both entities for years and there had never been a problem between them before.
However, the public reassured the artist, making it clear that everything was fine. “There’s nothing to apologize for, this happens and we, your fans, understand you, bro ❤️😻”, “Mabermuda, relax my friend, it’s work stuff, but it will pass, nobody can judge you too harshly for this”, “Blessed is the man who errs and acknowledges his error…🙏🙏🙏 God is in control”.
