Unfortunately, Yassine Nordine, in the 51 kg category, suffered a setback, losing to the experienced Zambian boxer Patrick Chinyemba. However, his effort and participation in the competition are commendable.
On Sunday, September 10th, Tiago Muxanga achieved an impressive victory over Seychelles boxer Shain Boniface, with the referee stopping the fight (RSC). Muxanga now advances to the quarterfinals, where he will face Mbiya Kulenguluka of the Democratic Republic of Congo, also on the 13th.
Unfortunately, Bernardo Marime faced a different challenge when he suffered a cut to his head during his fight against Abdelhaq Nadir of Morocco. The referee decided to stop the fight for medical reasons, despite Marime being in the lead. This situation illustrates the highs and lows that boxers face in their pursuit of Olympic success.
In summary, Mozambican boxers continue to inspire and impress, achieving victories and facing challenges with courage. While some reach the quarterfinals, others overcome medical obstacles, demonstrating the determination and passion that drive them on their journey towards the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
