At the prestigious Black Bulls Association grounds, located in Tchumene, Matola Municipality, one of the most anticipated cultural events of the year is about to unfold. Today marks the exciting start of the 11th National Culture Festival, which takes place under the motto "Culture, the Force that Unites the Nation Towards Development". The opening ceremony will be led by the esteemed President of the Republic of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi. This grand event is further enhanced by the distinguished presence of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, who attends as guest of honor.
This exceptional edition of the festival brings together more than 1000 artists from all corners of the country. They will be on stage to showcase a wide range of artistic expressions, including visual arts, crafts, music, film, dance and gastronomy, as well as photography, fashion, literature, theatre and other manifestations enriched with cultural values and ancestral knowledge. These manifestations go far beyond simple entertainment; they play a crucial role in the socialization process of Mozambican society.
The 11th National Culture Festival, organized by the Government of Mozambique and coordinated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, will take place between August 23rd and 27th. This ambitious festival has as its primary objective the preservation and development of the arts, culture, and traditions of the country's diverse communities. Furthermore, it seeks to provide a dynamic platform for exchange and interaction, while highlighting and sharing Mozambique's remarkable and diverse cultural heritage. Through this event, the country places its rich cultural heritage at the service of the progress and well-being of society.
