The great musician Salimo Muhammad turns 74 years old today.

To celebrate his birthday, the musician has prepared a musical show to take place at the "Frends Restaurant and Bar" starting at 2 pm to treat his fans to his signature songs.

Domingos Simião Mazuze Jr. is his registered name, born on August 13, 1948.
This year (2023) marks his 74th birthday. He was born in the province of Gaza, in Xai Xai, son of Domingos Simião Mazuze and Maria José da C. Mazuze.
His academic training was at the Mouzinho de Albuquerque School in Mozambique, now the Maputo Industrial Institute, where he graduated in decorative painting alongside Hortêncio Langa.
Considered controversial, and like others misunderstood, he always fought for his rights, and in this struggle he sometimes had to ban his works because they were being used improperly, that is, without the payment of the due copyright fees.

Mozambican musician Salimo Muhamed said in an interview with Canal de Moçambique that he is outraged with the land of his birth. He accuses individuals close to the local leadership of having thwarted a project he designed in the village of Chinonanquila, Boane, aimed at providing social recreation such as dance, music, and a wedding venue, valued at US$100,000.
Salimo Muhammad is the author of titles such as “xugubo nguelo”, “dançar e comer”, “djiplokotso”, “xa ntima hi boblela”, “sambroweira”, among others.
