Perhaps we can begin like this: Cláudio came into the world in the province of Nampula on April 21st, 1990. From an early age, he discovered his artistic talent. Today, Mozambique and the world witness his success in music, as he strolls through the streets of Nampula, where it all began.
Cláudio Aidil Mauro Ismael, (Born on April 21, 1992 in the city of Nampula, Mozambique), better known as Cláudio Ismael, is a singer and songwriter of Zouk, R&B, and other related styles.
The son of José Taibo Ismael Hassamo and Mimim Cassamo, he began singing at a young age, with the support of his family. From an early age he sang and played guitar with friends in Nampula.
At 18, he left his province to participate in a reality show in 2010, finishing in fifth place. As soon as the competition ended, he returned to Nampula to complete his studies, but he didn't stop dedicating himself to music, always performing in taverns. One day, during one of his performances in Nampula, he met Ziqo da Silva, who encouraged him to sing, saying he had a bright future in music. Ziqo pointed out that if he needed help, he should go to Maputo. Claudio believed in the challenge, traveled to the Mozambican capital, and began working with a friend and producer named Mito.
Cláudio Ismael states that participating in the work of other artists helped him gain recognition for his music.
His first appearance was on DJ Faya's first album, where he made three contributions (Cara ou Coroa, O que você ganha and Massanango). Later he joined the Game Over label, managed by DX Nuvunga.
In April 2013, he released the single "Quero ser o teu Papi" (I Want to Be Your Daddy), one of the biggest dance floor hits to this day. This single contains four songs (Promessas de amor, A tua escolha, Par perfeito and Quero ser o teu Papi featuring singer Mimae). The success was so great that it couldn't be contained in Mozambique. Cláudio reached Europe, or rather, his music reached it. From there, it was only a matter of time before he also made his mark on that continent. Portugal was his gateway, but soon after he climbed to other countries, performing shows and collaborating with other European artists. Today, the artist is back in his roots, in the land where he was born, Nampula.
