Yesterday, May 22nd, World Biodiversity Day, Mozambican singer Valdemiro José took a significant step in his commitment to environmental preservation by signing a memorandum of understanding as Ambassador of Maputo National Park.
Alongside friends and partners equally committed to the environmental cause, Valdemiro José celebrated this symbolic moment as an opportunity to inspire society—especially Mozambicans—to to know, to value and to protect The rich biodiversity that Maputo National Park represents.
“It is a privilege to be part of this group of citizens committed to the conservation of our biodiversity,” the artist shared on social media, reinforcing the importance of a collective effort in defense of the country's natural heritage.

Maputo National Park, located in southern Mozambique, is one of the country's most important protected areas, home to unique species of flora and fauna. Valdemiro José's initiative reflects a growing mobilization of public figures in environmental causes, promoting ecological awareness and citizen participation.
Ending the message with hope and determination, the singer left an appeal:
“"The future is green. The path is forward!"”
A gesture that strengthens the bridge between art and nature, and which could serve as an example for many others.
