União Desportiva do Songo completes licensing process with the FMF.

União Desportiva do Songo has achieved a significant milestone by completing the submission of all necessary documentation for the Club Licensing process with the Mozambican Football Federation (FMF). This achievement not only validates the club's commitment to the required standards but also removes the "hydroelectric" club from the list of six clubs that initially failed to complete the process within the established deadline.

António “Paulito” Trigo, the club's spokesperson, clarified that although they submitted all the documentation on time, an administrative error resulted in União do Songo being included on the list of non-compliant clubs. This mistake occurred due to documents being attached to incorrect locations on the submission platform, resulting in the apparent rejection of the application.

Trigo highlighted the team's surprise upon being informed of the situation, emphasizing that the submission platform did not initially indicate the rejection of the documents. It was only after contacting the FMF Licensing Department that the error was identified and corrected, allowing União Desportiva do Songo to continue the process without significant setbacks.

Furthermore, Trigo shared that inspectors from the Licensing Commission and the Mozambican Football League conducted an inspection of the Cahora Bassa Hydroelectric Power Plant field, located in the village of Songo, last Monday, March 25th. This field will be the venue for União Desportiva do Songo's matches, and the inspectors' approval validates its suitability for hosting high-level sporting events.
