The singer Tchakaze is preparing to mark another significant stage in his artistic career with the launch of his first literary work, titled “Being an Artist in the Country of Pandza”. The event will take place next May 30th, Friday, at 5:00 p.m., no Sabura Cultural Center, on Av. José Sidumo, in Maputo.
More than just a book, this work is a testament to the artistic journey and the challenges faced by those who choose to follow the path of music in the Mozambican cultural context, especially in the world of Pandza, one of the country's most iconic musical genres. Tchakaze promises to share reflections, stories, and experiences that reflect the reality of many national artists.
The launch will be marked by a diverse program that includes autograph session, cultural soiree and debates about the work, with interventions by David Abilio and presentation of the master of ceremonies Adelaide Isabel. The event will also feature the presence of several guest artists, among which the following stand out DJ Ardiles, Denny OG, Delta Acácio, Kayena, Juliana de Sousa and Elvira Viegas, who will brighten up the ceremony with performances and cultural interventions.
With the publisher's seal Lithangu, this work emerges as a relevant contribution to contemporary Mozambican literature, valuing local art and promoting critical thinking around the role of the artist in society.
