Stewart Sukuma Returns to Austria for Collaborative Show

Mozambican musician Stewart Sukuma returns to Austria for a performance alongside Austrian musician Christian Wirth and the Chameleon Orchestra. The concert will take place on August 19th in the city of Sankt Florian and will pay tribute to Austrian composer and organist Anton Bruckner.
This isn't the first collaborative project between Sukuma and Wirth. In 2012, Stewart Sukuma & Banda Nkhuvu and the Spring String Quartet, led by Christian Wirth, shared the stage in Mozambique and Austria. Sukuma's relationship with the Austrian market began in 2009, through the collaboration of musician and multidisciplinary artist Werner Puntigam.
Sukuma sees this reunion as a continuation of their friendship and artistic collaboration, highlighting the importance of cultural partnerships in fostering understanding between different peoples and the dissemination of Mozambican music. "Collaborations are fundamental for expanding knowledge of other cultures, as well as for the dissemination of our songbook," says Sukuma.
