Sporting, managed by Geny Catamo, is the most dominant team in the Portuguese First Division, according to a CIES study.

The Football Observatory Study takes into account four parameters: total shots, shots inside the penalty area, percentage of successful passes, and successful passes in the final third. In the Portuguese First Division, Sporting is the team with the best average performance.

The CIES Football Observatory published a study on Wednesday, yesterday, about the teams that most dominate their opponents in 69 leagues around the world. And in Portugal, more specifically in the Portuguese First League, Sporting has the best average performance.

Sporting has a "score" of 2.21, meaning that for every action taken by the opponent, Sporting performed 2.21 actions.

In second place on this list is Benfica (2.00), followed by FC Porto (1.88) and then Braga (1.56).

It should be noted that the Sporting-Rio Ave (2-0) match, played on Monday, was not included in this analysis.

Portimonense (0.73), Boavista (0.70) and Farense (0.65) are at the bottom of this table.
