This afternoon, at 2:30 PM, at the headquarters of AFCM (Maputo City Football Association), the draw for the Maputo City Football Championship will take place, which will begin next Saturday, February 24th.
This championship will feature 16 teams from the country's capital, divided between those competing in the Moçambola (Mozambican league) and those competing in the local championship.
Among the participating teams are the representatives of the city of Maputo in Moçambola-2024: Associação Black Bulls, Costa do Sol, Ferroviário, and Brera Tchumene FC, affiliated with the Maputo Provincial Football Association (APFM).
In addition to these, 12 other local teams are part of the tournament: Matchedje, Maxaquene, Desportivo, Académica, Águias Especiais, Estrela Vermelha, 1º de Maio, Mahafil, Vulcano, Racing, Ferroviário das Mahotas and Liga Desportiva de Maputo.
Today's draw will determine the initial matchups and the schedule for this exciting season, which promises great competition and moments of sporting fervor in the city of Maputo.
