Mozambican singer Rhodalia Silvestre took to her social media to warn fans and admirers about a scam involving the misuse of her image. According to the artist, malicious individuals are using an Angolan WhatsApp number, +244 924 440 187, to extort money in her name.
Rhodalia, who recently represented Mozambique on the Got Talent Portugal program, where she stood out and moved the audience by taking the national flag to international stages, emphasizes that she is not involved in any kind of financial solicitation.
“"Attention everyone, don't fall for anyone who sends you messages asking for money or help exchanging money in my name. It's a SCAM," the singer wrote in a post. She also highlighted that the person is using her photo as a profile picture, trying to lend credibility to the fraud.
The singer is appealing to her followers to be vigilant and asks that any suspicious contact be reported immediately. Cases like this reinforce the importance of always verifying the authenticity of messages received in the name of public figures.
