Reinildo Isnard Mandava, better known simply as Reinildo, celebrates his 31st birthday today, January 21, 2025. Born in the city of Beira, Mozambique, Reinildo has built a brilliant career in football, establishing himself as one of the country's biggest names internationally. Currently, the left-back plays for Atlético de Madrid, where he is a key player in the team managed by Diego Simeone.
Reinildo began his professional career in 2012 with Ferroviário da Beira, where he quickly attracted attention for his skill and dedication. With the Mozambican club, he won two Mozambican Cup titles, in 2013 and 2014, before making the leap to European football.
In 2015, he signed with Benfica, but only played for Benfica B. During the following years, he accumulated valuable experience in Portugal, playing for Fafe, Sporting da Covilhã, and Belenenses SAD. In 2019, his career received a significant boost when he was signed by Lille in France. At the French club, Reinildo reached his peak by winning Ligue 1 in the 2020-21 season, surpassing the powerful Paris Saint-Germain, and also won the French Super Cup in the same year.
