Pedro Matavela concludes the third stage of the FIA Academy Trophy with great emphasis on Mozambique.

Pedro Matavela, a Mozambican international driver, successfully concluded his participation in the third round of the FIA Academy Trophy 2024, a global karting competition aimed at identifying emerging talents in the sport. This was Matavela's first experience on the European circuit, and the young driver demonstrated remarkable determination and progress.

Throughout the three races of the championship, Matavela faced several challenges, but managed to achieve his main objectives, which included successfully completing the races. In his journey in the FIA Academy Trophy, Matavela stood out for his significant improvement, especially in the last two races. In the round held in Slovakia, he achieved his best time, finishing 26th overall.

The competition in Kristianstad, Sweden, was particularly challenging. With 51 drivers representing 51 countries, Matavela achieved a solid 38th place, reflecting his grit and progress. The participation of the Junior Max runner-up in the Mozambique Karting Championship (CKA), organized by ATCM and a member of the FIA, was marked by increasing performance and strong determination.

Matavela's debut in the FIA Academy Trophy took place in France, where he faced adverse conditions due to a lack of preparation and bad weather, which affected the track. Despite these difficulties, the driver managed to complete the race successfully, demonstrating his resilience and adaptability.

Pedro Matavela not only represented Mozambique with honor, but also left a significant mark on the FIA Academy Trophy, reflecting the potential and promise of Mozambican karting on the international stage.
