The first round of the Jogabets League marked a historic moment for Mozambican football with the absolute debut of the Ntsondzo FC team in 11-a-side football. Traditionally a team that only played beach soccer, Ntsondzo decided to expand its horizons this season, entering the competitive scene of the country's capital.
Competing in the Serie B of the competition, Ntsondzo faced the historic 1º de Maio, a team that placed its bets on the young coach and former Mozambican international, Carlitos Chimomole, to lead the team. Despite the adverse conditions, with intense heat during the Saturday afternoon, the Ntsondzo team managed to achieve its first victory in 11-a-side football, defeating 1º de Maio 1-0 in a hard-fought match.
Besides Ntsondzo's debut, the first round of the Jogabets League also marked the entry of União Desportiva do Zimpeto, managed by Eduardo Jumisse, who ended up being defeated by Nacional 2-0 in Serie A. Also noteworthy was the 4-1 victory of Águias Especiais over Vulcano, the most impressive result recorded in the first round of the competition.
