Mozambican women shine at the first edition of the "Be Like a Woman" award.“

Last night, Mozambican entertainment was the stage for a historic event, the first edition of the “Be Like a Woman” award. This event, organized by EY in partnership with New Faces New Voices Mozambique, brought together more than 35 prominent women from the country, including iconic figures such as Neyma Alfredo, known as the diva of Marrabenta, Dama do Bling, Eunice Andrade and Mana Cecy.

The "Be Like a Woman" program's main mission is to empower women who hold middle leadership positions or are medium-sized entrepreneurs in various fields. The initiative aims to provide essential tools so that these women are increasingly prepared to integrate into the corporate world and ensure that their role and relevance are recognized in the business sphere.

By highlighting and honoring talented and inspiring women such as Neyma Alfredo, Dama do Bling, Eunice Andrade, and Mana Cecy, the event not only celebrates their individual achievements but also underscores the importance of promoting gender equality and empowering women in all sectors of Mozambican society.

During the awards ceremony, several women were recognized for their remarkable achievements and significant contributions to their respective fields. Furthermore, the event provided a valuable space for networking and exchanging experiences among the participants, further strengthening the community of women leaders and entrepreneurs in Mozambique.

Through “Be Like a Woman,” EY and New Faces New Voices Mozambique demonstrate their ongoing commitment to promoting gender equality and empowering Mozambican women. This initiative not only recognizes women’s talent and excellence but also serves as a catalyst to boost female participation at all levels of society and the economy.

In a country where women play a fundamental role in development and progress, events like "Be Like a Woman" are essential to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs. May this first edition be just the beginning of a continuous movement towards a more equitable and inclusive future for all Mozambican women.
