Mozambique stopped to honorably welcome some of the Tang Soo Do world champions, who returned to the country via Mavalane International Airport. The delegation was welcomed by the Secretary General of Sports, Carlos Gilberto Mendes, after an impressive performance at the World Championships held in North Carolina, USA, from July 12th to 13th of this year.
Showing exceptional performance in the Demonstration and Creativity category, the Mozambican team took 4th place. Additionally, Master Cláudio Temporário, current President of the Mozambican Tang Soo Do Association, was promoted to the prestigious rank of Senior Master 5th Dan during the Master Promotion Ceremony.
In total, Mozambique brought home an impressive 37 medals from the World Championships, demonstrating its strength and talent in this discipline. The achievement includes 14 gold, 14 silver, and 9 bronze medals, marking a significant milestone in the history of Mozambican Tang Soo Do.
Tomorrow, Friday (19), the arrival of the other part of the national delegation is scheduled, thus completing the warm welcome and the praise deserved for Mozambique's brilliant representation on the world stage of Tang Soo Do.
This achievement not only celebrates Mozambique's sporting success but also highlights the country's ongoing commitment to development and international sporting excellence.
