“As usual, every year, on February 3rd, we hold an award ceremony for the most outstanding musical artist from the province of Gaza. This year will be no exception. Our jury is our followers. We ask that, in your sincerity and without fanaticism, you indicate ONE (1) artist that you consider the most outstanding in the period 2022-2023,” announced Mabrinhenhe Entretenimento on its official page.

The voting, which will extend over several days, invites followers and fans of Mozambican music to express their opinions and choose the artist who, in their view, stood out the most during the past year.

However, Apathany, a well-known figure attentive to the Mozambican music scene, expressed an initial opinion after taking a look at the official Facebook page of Mabrinhenhe Entretenimento. According to her, so far, Mr. Tonito, a native and resident of Gaza province, seems to be the favorite among internet users.

This competition, in addition to recognizing local talent, also provides valuable interaction between artists and fans, highlighting the importance of public participation in building and recognizing the music scene in Mozambique. Expectations are high to see who will be crowned the best artist from Gaza for the period of 2022-2023, and the results will certainly generate debate and celebration within the Mozambican music community.
