Mozambican international Geny Catamo was received yesterday afternoon at the headquarters of JJ, a company owned by businessman Joaquim de Sousa Todo Júnior, better known as Quinito Júnior. During the meeting, the player was officially invited to participate in the 2025 edition of the Confederation of Sports Businesses (CONFENDA), which will take place in Angola.
Quinito Júnior, recently appointed Executive Director of CONFENDA 2025, took the opportunity to reinforce Geny's role as one of the great figures of Mozambican sport on the international stage. Quinito's appointment was announced in the last week of May and is considered an important recognition of his career in the world of sports business.

Geny Catamo, who is currently enjoying a well-deserved vacation in Mozambique after a memorable season in Portugal — where he won the national championship twice and the double with Sporting — has been using this time to strengthen ties with prominent figures in the business and sporting world of his country.
CONFENDA 2025 promises to be one of the biggest editions of the event that unites sport and business in Africa, and Geny's possible participation could further enhance the prestige of the initiative, highlighting the role of athletes as agents of development and inspiration on the continent.
The presence of figures like Geny Catamo shows that Mozambican sport is not only competitive within the four lines of the field, but is also beginning to make its mark on platforms of international decision-making and influence.
