The Mozambican Football Federation (FMF) attended the final of the inter-prison football tournament, reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility. During the event, the FMF donated soccer balls to the participating prisons, an initiative aimed at fostering the development of sports within the institutions.
According to Jorge Bambo, a representative of the FMF, "This is a symbolic gesture, but one that carries profound meaning. We hope these balls will serve as motivation for the continued growth of soccer and the transformation of lives within prisons." The initiative aims not only to promote the practice of soccer but also to use the sport as a tool for social inclusion and rehabilitation of inmates.
The event was attended by well-known figures, such as former Mambas international player Tico-Tico and Mozambican musician Ziqo, who attended the final and joined this cause, supporting the growth of sport in all spheres of society.
This initiative demonstrates FMF's commitment to creating opportunities for football to be a positive force for change, even in challenging contexts such as prisons.
