The "Flame of National Unity" Festival marks the beginning of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of National Independence in Maputo.

The city of Maputo it begins, in this Tuesday, June 24th, to the celebrations of fiftieth anniversary of National Independence, with the realization of Municipal Festival “Flame of National Unity”, which happens in Independence Square. The event is about free access and integrates itself into the activities organized under the motto “"Together, Let's Embrace Maputo: Beautiful City of Acacias and Jacarandas"”.

The festival's musical program includes a diverse cast of national artists, encompassing different styles and generations of Mozambican music. Among the confirmed names are:

The initiative is promoted by Maputo Municipal Council, reinforcing the commitment to community engagement and the promotion of Mozambican culture.
