Today we celebrate the birthday of Domingos João Macandza, better known as Domingos “Mexer” Macandza, a talented Mozambican football player who has distinguished himself as a right-back for Costa do Sol and the Mozambique national team.
Born on June 17, 1998, Macandza began his senior career in the Moçambola with Maxaquene in 2016. It was there that he began to showcase his talent and determination, which quickly caught the attention of everyone in the national football scene. In 2020, he had a spell at Vilankulo, where he continued to develop his skills and consolidate his reputation as a promising player.
The following season, Macandza transferred to local rivals AD Vilankulo, where he continued to impress with his consistent performances and his ability to read the game. His journey through Mozambican football took a significant step in January 2022 when he joined the prestigious club Costa do Sol. At Costa do Sol, Macandza found a bigger stage to showcase his talent, contributing decisively to the team.
His exceptional performance at Costa do Sol caught the eye of the national team coach, Chiquinho Conde, who called him up to represent Mozambique. Since then, Macandza has been a constant and respected presence in the national team, bringing his experience and skill to the squad.
