Born in 1978 in the Aeroporto neighborhood, on the outskirts of Maputo, he discovered his passion for rap in his teens, taking inspiration from American icon Jay-Z.
Since the mid-90s, he has expressed his creativity and emotions through rap, forming the group "Tropas do Futuro" with Denny OG, DJ Damost, Stuped Man, and N'Star. After the group disbanded, he founded Gpro with Djo and Cem Paus, releasing the album "Um passo em frente" in 2003, which revealed his conscious and educational style of rap, full of refined metaphors and double entendres.
After a successful period touring Mozambique, he temporarily stepped away from GPRO, but soon returned, releasing the album "Do Rovuma ao Maputo" with the Extaka Zero project. His career continued with ups and downs, releasing songs like "Sujo Sujo", "Cú Gordo" and "Presidência Aberta".
Duas Caras has proven his versatility and commitment to music over the years, releasing notable singles and EPs such as “Duditos Way” (2018) and “Djundava” (2020). In 2022, he released the EP “Afromatic”, including hits like “LOCKDOWN” and “PANTHERA” with Azagaia and Ras Haitrm.
Their journey in music is a testament to perseverance and innovation, contributing to the Mozambican Hip Hop scene. We wish Duas Caras an incredible birthday and eagerly await more inspiring and impactful music! 🎉🎶
