Feizal Sidat expresses gratitude for the support and reinforces hope for qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The president of the Mozambican Football Federation (FMF), Feizal Sidat, expressed his gratitude to the fans and lovers of national football who were present at the Zimpeto National Stadium yesterday, during the 5th round of the CAN 2025 qualifiers against the Mali national team.

In a message shared on social media, Sidat acknowledged the unconditional support of the fans, despite the result not being what the Mambas wanted. “Khanimambo to the Mambas fans who were at the Zimpeto National Stadium yesterday. It wasn't the result we wanted, but we remain hopeful of qualifying for the Morocco 2025 Africa Cup of Nations,” he wrote.

With only one matchday remaining, the Mozambican national team faces a decisive challenge in Bissau, vying for one of the five remaining spots in Africa's biggest football competition. Demonstrating confidence in the team and determination, Feizal Sidat reinforced his belief in the Mambas' ability to secure the coveted qualification: “There are 5 spots left and 1 will be ours! We're going to Bissau for the final matchday with desire and determination.”

The fighting spirit and unity among players, managers, and fans have been fundamental throughout the campaign, and the game against Guinea-Bissau promises to be a true final. The Mambas will once again count on the support of the Mozambican public, who remain hopeful for another appearance in the African Cup of Nations.
