Eugenia Langa assists woman in labor during trip to Chibuto.

Mozambican comedian and master of ceremonies Eugénia Langa, also known as Jenny or "Mother of Vegetables," performed an act of solidarity in the early hours of yesterday morning. During a work trip to Chibuto, she encountered a woman in Macia crying out for help, as she was in labor and her water had already broken.

Faced with the situation and the lack of support from drivers passing by, Eugénia decided to intervene and took the pregnant woman and her grandmother to the hospital in Bilene. However, upon arriving at the health unit, there were no professionals available to provide immediate assistance. Given the urgency, the comedian entered the hospital and, desperate, began calling for help, until two nurses appeared and delivered the baby.

Thanks to Eugénia Langa's quick action and the medical care provided, both mother and baby are doing well. In a symbolic gesture, the newborn was named Jenny, in honor of the artist. The account of the event was shared on social media and received numerous messages of recognition and appreciation for the comedian's act of solidarity.
