Rapper Epaitxoss One has garnered widespread fan support after publicly announcing that he will not participate in the rap battle against Herasmo, scheduled for December 23rd at the Rapódromo. In a statement, Epaitxoss explained that, due to reasons beyond his control, he will not be present at the highly anticipated confrontation against Herasmo, wishing success to the organizers and fellow competitors.
“I hereby make it public that, for reasons beyond my control, I will not be participating in the battle against #Herasmo on December 23rd at #Rapodromo,” stated the rapper, concluding with wishes for a good show for the organizers and gladiators. “I wish the organization and the gladiators a good show, and I ask the public to join in, because the movement needs to reach stratospheric levels.”
Although Epaitxoss did not detail the reasons for his withdrawal, speculation arises about a possible connection to the results of the semifinals, where, according to the jury's opinion, Epaitxoss One lost the battle to Naruto.
Fans flooded social media with messages of support for Epaitxoss One. Comments such as “Epaitxoss One, your rhymes are heavy, and the content you used was only for those of us with two degrees, because it involved things that could only be understood by someone with a strong pen” and “It’s better that way; they only organized this battle so that a certain someone would be the ultimate winner” reflect the sentiments of the online community.
One fan even suggested a possible intellectual bias in the evaluation, stating: “If Aristotle, Plato, and Isaac Newton were alive, you would be the winner because they would understand you 100%. There was a boycott here. That's why Angolan gladiators like Solomon quit. But anyway, do as you please; it would be good if you embraced other opportunities. You have many talents.”
Epaitxoss One's decision to withdraw from the upcoming battle has sparked a conversation among fans about the dynamics of the rap scene, potential biases in judging, and the impact of such decisions on the hip-hop community as a whole. As the online debate continues, it remains to be seen how this development will influence Epaitxoss One's future trajectory and the Rap scene as a whole.
