Epaitxoss One celebrates its 30th anniversary today, on the eve of the Great Battle to be held on the 7th.

Patxumi João Canaiba, known as Epaitxoss One or El Campero, celebrates his 30th birthday today. The Mozambican rapper, writer, and poet was born in Maputo on August 22, 1994, and two years later moved to Quelimane, where he developed much of his artistic career.

Epaitxoss One recently released his first literary work, titled "The Same Happens to You". In the music scene, he is recognized for his participation in rap battles, both nationally and internationally, being the only Mozambican with more than 10 battles published on YouTube. He has won every rap competition he has participated in.

Among his best-known songs are “108 Barras”, “Autodeterminação”, “Patrão”, “Óleo Quente”, “Pesadelo” and “Quelimane”.

Epaitxoss One is currently preparing for a major rap battle against rapper Trovoada, which will take place on September 7th and is considered one of the biggest of his career to date.

In addition to his artistic career, Epaitxoss One faced personal challenges from a young age, after becoming an orphan at age 12. Since then, he has dedicated himself to rap, establishing himself as an important figure in the genre in Mozambique.
