Born in Tavene, in the province of Gaza, Edmilson Dove started playing football in local youth teams until he reached... Maputo Railway in 2013. Two years later, he made his debut for the first team and in his first year won the 2015 national title. His talent attracted attention from abroad, and in May 2016 he traveled to Lisbon to undergo trials at Sporting CP. During this period, he also aligned himself with UD Songo, before making the leap to South African football.

In January 2017, Dove signed a contract with the Cape Town City, from the first division of South Africa, where he remained for five seasons. Throughout that period, he stood out as a versatile defender, accumulating 87 games, 4 goals and 1 assist.
His consistency opened the doors to another South African giant for him, the Kaizer Chiefs, the club he represented between 2022 and 2025, accumulating 47 official matches and 2 goals. His time there solidified his image as an experienced and reliable player, both defensively and offensively.
After ending her contract with the “Amakhosi” last June, Dove considered three offers for the future of her career. She chose... Al Quwa Al Jawiya, from Iraq, a historic club linked to the air force and winner of several editions of Iraq Stars League. The Mozambican international was officially announced this Thursday, August 28th, as a new signing for the Baghdad club, with a contract valid until June 2027.
