DJ Damost's career began as a rapper, co-founding a group with Nstar. In 1996, along with Denny OG, he founded the group Auto Squad, where, under pressure from his colleagues, he took on the role of DJ, establishing himself in 1997 as "the master of mixing". Since then, his career has been marked by a series of impressive achievements.
In 1998, he signed a contract with Rádio Cidade, where he remains to this day. His work at the radio station led him to become the official DJ of the Presidency of the Republic of Mozambique in 2000, increasing his visibility and expanding his audience reach. In the same year, he signed a contract with the DDB agency as the official DJ, participating in prominent events such as MOZAMBIQUE FASHION WEEK, MMA, and the COCA-COLA CUP.
Starting in 2001, DJ Damost signed contracts with various organizations and event groups in Maputo, including Zaza.Inc, Grupo CONGA, and Bang Entretenimento, becoming the group's official DJ. His reputation continued to grow over the years, resulting in partnerships with international brands such as Pepsi and MTN, as well as with the advertising agency OLGIVY.
In 2018, DJ Damost founded the company CONTACTO.INVESTIMENTOS.LTD, focused on cultural exchange between Mozambicans in the diaspora and those locally established. In addition, he launched his own brand, TomeNota, representing youth, self-esteem, and success.
With two albums released and a series of notable hits, DJ Damost is known for his collaborations with renowned Mozambican artists. His shows, which range from the Rovuma River to Maputo and from Zumbo to the Indian Ocean, attest to his skill and talent as a top-tier DJ.
