A founding member and pioneer of the YABA BULUKU BOYS group, endorsed by the South African production company Geobak Record, will represent Mozambique on March 2nd at the Amapiano Music Festival, an original South African style, in Lisbon, Portugal, at the Pavilhão Carlos Lopes.
Music producer and artist DJ Tárico is undoubtedly one of the biggest promoters in Mozambique and has launched the most hit songs for our artists and those in the Diaspora.
Currently, he is frequently requested by international singers for production and collaboration on songs, such as DJODJE, a Cape Verdean singer, who, through his own initiative, is present at this great festival in Portugal representing Mozambique and further elevating the name of our beloved homeland.
DJ Tárico is a member of the Yaba Buluku Boys group and one of the pioneers of the initiative. The group consists of three members: Nelson Tivane, Preck, and DJ Tárico himself. The group has already achieved what any artist aspires to, performing on stages with major international artists such as Burna Boy, who also collaborated on the remix of the song "YABA Buluku," which is incidentally the song that sparked the group's creation, hence the name.
Ironically, this song was banned in our country for being considered inappropriate for television and radio content, but it was recognized in other countries and won several awards, placing the group in the privileged position they are currently in.
