Danny Timane, through his label Focus, recently released the song "Depois da Bala" (After the Bullet), a composition in homage to the young Shottas, who lost his life during a live broadcast. The song seeks to immortalize the memory of the deceased, portraying the events related to the demonstrations that occurred on the border of Ressano Garcia.
Young Shottas was fatally shot while documenting the situation at the border in real time, becoming a central figure in the account of this episode that marked the country. Moved by the loss, Danny Timane used his art to honor Shottas' life and give voice to his story, transforming pain into melody.
“After the Bullet” emerges not only as a personal tribute, but also as an artistic record that highlights the reality of difficult times faced by Mozambican youth.
It is worth noting that Shottas' funeral services are scheduled for today at 1 p.m., where family, friends, and admirers will bid farewell to the young man who left us far too soon.
