Following the amicable termination of the contract with Portuguese coach Sérgio Bóris, Ferroviário de Maputo announced Danito Nhampossa as the new interim coach of the first team.
Danito Nhampossa temporarily takes the reins of the team after not being integrated into the technical team led by Sérgio Bóris, according to the initial plan established by the club's management. Nhampossa's return to the "locomotives'" home comes after a successful season with Desportivo da Matola, where he competed for promotion to Moçambola 2024.
While Ferroviário de Maputo's management searches for and reaches an agreement with a new Mozambican coach to take over the position, Nhampossa will remain in charge of the team's technical direction. He is already preparing the team for their next challenge, which will be against the league leaders, Associação Black Bulls, in a match scheduled for next Sunday.
The appointment of Nhampossa as interim coach represents a new phase for Ferroviário de Maputo, which seeks stability and positive results in the 2024 Moçambola (Mozambican football league). Currently, the team is in last place in the standings with only one point, while Associação Black Bulls leads with six wins in six games.
It is expected that under the interim leadership of Danito Nhampossa, Ferroviário de Maputo will find its way to recovery in the competition and achieve better results in the upcoming rounds of the 2024 Moçambola.
