Controversies on social media lead Mozambican comedian Mito Munguambe to refuse financial aid of 10,000 meticais.

Mozambican comedian Mito Munguambe, who is recovering at home after being hit by a car and reportedly spends around 850 meticais a day, chose not to accept a financial aid of 10,000 meticais raised in a solidarity campaign organized by artists.

According to reports, the decision was made after news related to the initiative generated discussions on social media. Despite the refusal, the organizers reaffirmed their genuine intention to support the comedian, highlighting that the funds are being managed by the group's leader, Abuchamo Munhoto, while they evaluate other ways to help.

The influencer Boneca Barbie, who has been following the situation, shared:
“"Regarding the 10,000 that our brother @mitomunguambe did not accept. He explained his reasons, and we are now working on a solution to continue supporting him."”

A matter of solidarity.
Mito Munguambe's refusal highlights the importance of acts of solidarity carried out in a respectful and transparent manner. The comedian, even during a difficult time, demonstrated gratitude for the support he received.

While the group continues to seek alternatives to offer support to the artist, the situation reinforces the value of unity and empathy within the Mozambican artistic community.
