Mark Exodus, stage name of Marcus Maioupe, is one of Mozambique's most prominent singers, songwriters, and producers. Born on August 19, 1994, the artist, who has already amassed a huge fanbase, is a former member of the group Sameblood and currently CEO of MESS Records. His journey, marked by challenges and triumphs, is an inspiration to many young artists.

From a very young age, Mark Exodus faced health difficulties. His parents were told that their son would have trouble breathing and speaking. However, music has always been his great passion, and he overcame these adversities to become a leading figure in Mozambican music. He chose the name "Exodus" in reference to the second book of the Bible, symbolizing his journey of overcoming and reinvention.

His unique voice and creative style have caught the attention of big names in national and international music. Mark Exodus has a striking presence in backing vocals for artists such as Laylizzy, New Joint, Dygo Boy, Ricky Rick, Da Les and Danny K, which has opened doors for his own solo career.

The first song released by Exodus was "Pára e pensa" (Stop and Think), a starting point for the artist, who soon followed it with other successful tracks such as "She Don't Understand" and "Lips on Fire". With these songs, he consolidated his image as one of the leading names in the Mozambican music scene.

His first EP, titled “7 Dias de Solteiro” (7 Days of Being Single), was a turning point in his career. The project gained great public acceptance and consolidated Mark Exodus as one of the leading figures in Mozambican music. The EP served as his calling card, allowing him to perform at major events in the country.

Exodus' success is also reflected in the music video for the song "Liga," which reached number one on Top Moz, broadcast by Gloom Channel. This achievement further confirmed their popularity and rise in the Mozambican music scene.

In addition to his artistic career, Mark Exodus has a solid background in music, having studied Music Technology in Pretoria, South Africa. This training helped him hone his technical skills and expand his creative vision within the music industry.
