Today, November 15, 2023, is a special day for the Mozambican music community and for all hip-hop fans, as we celebrate the 34th birthday of Hernâni da Silva Mudanisse, better known as the master of Mozambican punchlines.
Born in Maputo, Mozambique, in 1989, Hernâni emerged on the music scene with a burning passion for hip-hop and R&B. His musical journey began at age 14 when he became a member of the rap group 360 Graus. Along with El Puto, Dynomite, Suky, Mic B, Bala de Prata, and Denny OG, Hernâni made his mark and shaped the foundations of his remarkable career.
In 2005, the group evolved into Young Sixties, further solidifying its presence in the Mozambican music scene. In 2015, Hernâni embarked on a new phase by joining forces with Sameblood Os Primos, demonstrating his versatility and adaptability in the music world.
Over the years, Hernâni da Silva has participated in numerous musical projects, leaving his mark both nationally and internationally. His participation in Coke Studio Africa is a testament to his influence beyond the borders of Mozambique.
The rapper released his first single, “Jump!”, in 2007, revealing his undeniable talent to the world. In 2013, he gifted his fans with the album “Hernâni”, solidifying his place as an indisputable force in the Mozambican music scene.
In partnership with Sleam Niggah, Hernâni da Silva released the album “Pontas de Lança” in 2016, followed by the CD “Sextas Felizes” in 2018. His most recent work, “Pontas de Lança vol.2”, released in 2022, is a testament to his consistency and artistic evolution over the years.
In addition to his passion for music, Hernâni also plays a role in the field of information technology (IT), showing that his skills extend beyond the stage.
