Carlos Serra Leads Water Hyacinth Removal Effort in the Incomati River

THE Lawyer, university professor, and environmental activist Carlos Serra announced today an initiative aimed at preserving the Incomati River. The action consists of removing water hyacinths, an exotic and invasive plant that harms the local ecosystem.

Water hyacinths are known for their rapid spread, which can obstruct waterways, reduce oxygen levels, and negatively affect aquatic flora and fauna. However, instead of simply discarding the plant, the team led by Carlos Serra found a sustainable way to reuse it: the hyacinths will be used as compost in the erosion control barrier, contributing to the protection of the soil and the environment.

Just as Carlos Serra and his team work to transform environmental challenges into sustainable solutions, you too can transform your future by investing in a quality space in Katembe! Just 20 minutes from the bridge, near the BCI and Assembly buildings, we have 20x40m plots with pre-built walls and a modern design. Payment is facilitated in up to 18 months, allowing your big moment to begin today.
