“Since 2017, we have been without our province, without a voice, without freedom, without brilliance, and without peace. It is sad to see a province that had everything to succeed and, in these times, is going downhill more and more. We are all tired of this,” he lamented.
Lukie also recalled the hardship experienced by internally displaced persons and the constant fear that haunts the inhabitants:
“We want our Cabo Delgado to be free, we also want to sleep without worrying that they could enter at any moment. We are tired of living in fear and fleeing our places of origin. We were born here, we grew up here, and we have nowhere else to go. This is our province, it is our home.”
With emotion, the singer appealed for an immediate end to the violence:
“"Enough is enough, we've had enough of the terrorism in Cabo Delgado. Enough of the innocent blood being spilled. We're fed up with it."”
