CAF begins online ticket sales for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has taken a significant step towards modernization and accessibility by announcing the opening of the first online ticket sales window for the highly anticipated 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). The tournament will be hosted in Ivory Coast, and the ticket sales aim not only to bring fans closer to the African continent, but also to ensure they can purchase tickets in advance.

Tickets, priced between 511 and 1530 meticais, were initially made available exclusively to VISA cardholders, with the intention of facilitating access for fans and providing a convenient purchasing experience.

The CAF initiative's main objectives are to attract football fans from across Africa to this flagship event on the African sporting scene and to ensure that enthusiasts can secure their places in advance for the tournament, which will take place from January to February 2024.

The gradual opening of online sales, starting with an exclusive phase for VISA cardholders and later extending to the general public, demonstrates CAF's commitment to engaging diverse fan segments. In this context, only 25% of the group stage tickets will be available in this first phase, allowing fans to secure their places at the 34th edition of the CAN.

For Mozambicans, this news represents a unique opportunity to prepare and support the Mambas in their fifth participation in the final phase of the African Cup of Nations. The country, having qualified after a solid campaign in Group L, is in Group B in the final phase, alongside Egypt, Ghana, and Cape Verde.

With online ticket sales, CAF offers fans the convenience of securing their presence at the exciting matches of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast. This innovative step not only strengthens the bond between fans and the event, but also represents a positive shift in how sporting tournaments are accessed and enjoyed across the African continent.
