Digital influencer Barbie Doll has once again used her social media to issue a serious warning to her followers: several fake Facebook pages are being created in her name, with the aim of deceiving people and extorting money under the guise of advertising services or jobs.
In a message published this afternoon, Barbie made a direct appeal to her audience to be vigilant and avoid falling into traps. "Be careful, everyone. Many pages have been created in my name to deceive people (...) be smart," wrote the influencer, who has a verified Instagram account and is about to reach the 1 million follower mark.
Barbie reinforced that does not use Facebook for private conversations, not even for business, making it clear that his only official direct communication channel is Instagram. "Be very careful. Good afternoon. But if you fall into these traps, it's your own fault for being so distracted," he warned firmly.
The influencer also lamented that some malicious individuals—including supposed fans—are using her image to illicitly benefit themselves, deceiving unsuspecting followers. This isn't the first time Barbie has issued a statement of this kind, demonstrating that the problem is recurrent.
