The Black Bulls Association (ABB) began its journey in African competitions with a 2-0 defeat against Zamalek SC, the current CAF Cup champion and winner of the African Super Cup. The game, held at the Cairo International Stadium, was valid for the 1st round of Group D of the CAF Cup. Despite the unfavorable result, the "black bulls" showed a courageous performance against the Egyptian giant.
