BANDER REVEALS THE ORIGIN OF HIS ARTISTIC NAME

Mozambican rapper Bander recently shared the story behind his stage name choice. In a video released during preparations for a concert celebrating his 10-year career in music, the artist revealed that he was initially known as "Jack Padrasto." However, the nickname wasn't well received by fans.
According to Bander, the current name was a suggestion from fellow rapper Bobby Sam.

Noting that "Jack Padrasto" wasn't well received by the public, Bobby proposed "Bander" as a shorter, more impactful alternative. The change was well received, marking a new chapter in the artist's career, which established him as one of the most influential names in the Mozambican rap scene.

The highly anticipated commemorative show promises to be a special celebration of his career. On stage, Bander will revisit the greatest hits that marked his career, featuring hits that captivated audiences and redefined rap in the country. Furthermore, the event will feature guest appearances and moments that will recall the cultural and artistic impact the rapper has had throughout his career. This is a milestone not only for the artist but also for Mozambican music as a whole.
