Bandırmaspor of Mexer was eliminated from the Turkish Cup by Karacabey Belediye Spor, with a 3-2 defeat after extra time, in a match marked by twists and turns and crucial decisions. This elimination comes shortly after the elimination of Iğdır FK of Guima, another club that also failed to advance in the competition.
Karacabey opened the scoring in the 17th minute with K. Yağcı. Bandırmaspor responded in the second half, equalizing in the 65th minute with a goal from SC Bozkurt. When Karacabey took the lead again in the 89th minute with B. Badak, it seemed victory was on the cards. However, Bandırmaspor, in a stoppage-time comeback, equalized in the 90+6th minute with YY Dilek, sending the match into extra time.
In extra time, in the 96th minute, Ö. T. Görgüç scored the winning goal for Karacabey, securing their place in the next round. A decisive moment was the substitution of Mexer, who left the field in the 72nd minute, being replaced by A. Aydemir. The change was intended to strengthen the defense, but it ultimately failed to prevent the opponent's winning goal.
With this defeat, Bandırmaspor de Mexer follows the same fate as Iğdır FK de Guima and is eliminated from the Turkish Cup, while Karacabey advances to the next stage of the competition.
