André Manhiça celebrates another year of life today: (A Journey in Mozambican Entertainment)

André Jorge Vitorino dos Reis Manhiça, or simply André Manhiça, is one of the most influential and versatile voices in Mozambican media. With a consolidated career in radio, television, and events, André stands out for his innovation and the cultural impact he brings to local entertainment. Originally from Nampula, he began his career at a young age and won over the Mozambican public with his charisma and talent, becoming a reference in the national media scene.

In 1994, André took his first steps as a DJ in the main nightclubs of Nampula, his hometown. Around the same time, he co-founded DEPAL (Dejo and Paulo) Entertainment, an organization focused on event production, expanding his influence on the local cultural scene.

Two years later, in 1996, he began his career as a radio announcer at Rádio Encontro in Nampula, where he quickly gained a loyal audience. In 2001, he moved to Maputo and joined Rádio Cidade, where he distinguished himself as an announcer. In 2003, he expanded his work to television, taking on new challenges in a project with DDB Mozambique.

In 2006, his talent led him to Radio 9 FM, where he also presented programs on 9 TV, currently TIM. Two years later, he returned to Radio Cidade and created the program "Impulso," in addition to "Top Pior," a popular and controversial ranking that became one of the most talked about at the time for its creativity and audacity.

In the music scene, Manhiça made his mark in 2010, joining the presenting team of the Mozambique Music Awards (MMA), one of the country's biggest music awards events, also through DDB Mozambique. In 2013, he was hired as the official voice of one of the largest mobile phone operators in Mozambique, establishing himself as an influential voice in the communications market.

In 2014, André innovated by introducing the global late-night talk show format to Mozambique with the program "Área VIP," broadcast by TVM until 2020. This talk show brought a dynamic and fun approach to entertainment to the Mozambican public.

Currently, André continues as an ambassador for prestigious brands and important organizations. He was also internationally awarded by the GOLO agency, which recognized his talent by using him as the voice in a television commercial.

André Manhiça's journey continues to inspire and shape the Mozambican cultural landscape, with his commitment to quality entertainment and innovation.
