Amora rejects offers for Geny Catamo: Sporting only has 25% of the transfer fee.

Amora FC is not willing to accept offers below what they consider fair for the player. The board, led by Frederico Varandas, had the opportunity to acquire the remaining 75% of Geny Catamo's transfer rights through annual payments of 200,000 euros, but so far has only invested a portion of that amount in 2019, when the player was a junior.

The window of opportunity for this negotiation has expired, and now it is necessary to reopen talks. Sporting maintains a firm stance regarding the amount they are willing to pay, while Amora FC waits, observing how the player continues to increase in value based on his performances on the field. As previously reported, Sporting had no intention of relinquishing its majority stake in Geny Catamo's rights for less than three million euros.

This is a critical issue for the club, as the player's contract runs until 2025, and the objective is to extend his contract and increase his release clause from €60 million to €80 million. Geny Catamo is currently in excellent form, having played nine games this season and received a call-up to the Mozambique national team for upcoming friendlies against Angola and Nigeria, scheduled for the 13th and 16th. Sporting is determined to secure its future with Geny Catamo, and the ongoing negotiations reflect its commitment to securing a significant portion of the economic rights of this promising Mozambican player.
