Two young Mozambicans who are following different paths in the arts recently reunited in Portugal. This is about... Matola Pack, a street singer based in that European country, and Alcy, actor and content creator who remains in Europe after the screening of his first film, Caly, at FESTin – the Itinerant Film Festival of the Portuguese Language.
The encounter took place during one of Pack Matola's street performances, when he invited Alcy to watch the show. The actor was present and even interacted with the audience, showing off some dance moves while supporting his compatriot. The informal and spontaneous moment was captured by passersby and shared on social media.

Pack Matola is known in Lisbon for his street performances, where he performs original songs and covers of popular music, highlighting social messages and elements of Mozambican culture. Alcy, on the other hand, recently gained visibility with the short film... Caly, who received the award of Best Short Film at FESTin 2025, an event held in Lisbon.
After participating in the festival, Alcy remains in Europe, where she has been taking the opportunity to expand her contacts and promote her work in the independent film and cultural production circuit.
The reunion between the two artists demonstrates the growing presence of Mozambicans in the arts in Europe, each in their own way, but both with the common goal of promoting Mozambican identity beyond borders.
