After facing financial difficulties, the Mozambique women's national senior basketball team now has the financial means to participate in the Zone VI qualifier against Angola. With all accommodation, food, and registration fees covered, the team departs for Luanda this Sunday with its full focus on qualifying for Afrobasket 2025.
The Mozambican Basketball Federation (FMB) has managed to overcome the financial challenges that threatened the team's preparation, allowing the players to focus solely on the two decisive games, which will take place next Monday and Tuesday.
Coach Nilton Manheira expressed confidence in the team's preparation, highlighting the good tactical and defensive work, as well as the psychological preparation, which will be crucial in this tie where every point counts.
Now with all the necessary resources secured, Mozambique heads to Luanda determined to secure a spot at Afrobasket 2025, which will be held in Ivory Coast between July and August.
