The Mozambican writer and editor Nunes Cristóvão is in Cape Verde participating in a literary residency promoted with the support of International Institute of the Portuguese Language (IILP). The initiative aims to strengthen cultural and literary ties between Mozambique and Cape Verde, in an environment of sharing and collaboration.
On Friday morning, Nunes Cristóvão was warmly received by Director of the IILP and his team, officially marking the start of the program's activities.

During the residency, the author will have the opportunity to to immerse oneself in Cape Verdean reality, ...to interact with local writers, collaborate with universities and libraries, and expand creative exchanges between the two countries.
One of the commitments undertaken is the contribution to the Cataloging of Mozambican writers in the IILP Digital Catalog, This project aims to gather a representative collection of literature from Portuguese-speaking countries. This catalog, of a... dynamic and progressive, brings together biobibliographical data that help to preserve and value the literary production of the Portuguese-speaking world.
Nunes Cristóvão's participation in this initiative is part of the mission of Ntxuva Publishing and the platform Nharinga of Letters, who have been playing an active role in promoting Mozambican literature both within and outside the country.
With this experience, the writer reiterates his commitment to strengthening the presence of Mozambican literature within the Lusophone world, contributing to greater cultural integration and the strengthening of our shared literary heritage.
