It was precisely with Pafos that Langa achieved the historic qualification for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, after eliminating the Red Star of Serbia with a 1-1 draw (3-2 on aggregate). Langa came on in the 62nd minute, at a crucial moment when Pafos were trailing, and saw his team equalize in the 89th minute, securing the unprecedented achievement.
With this achievement, Bruno Langa joins Geny Catamo as the two Mozambican representatives in the 2025/2026 edition of the Champions League, bringing the name of Mozambique to the biggest stages of European football.
